Lenslite® Design Specifications

(1) Lenslite® Chrome:

The primary substrate of this product is a unique material that offers chrome, gold and transparent colors in daytime lighting, but can now be backlit for instrumentation, gauges, or decorative functions.  In effect, the substrate is "see through metal" that can be used to produce and of our dimensional products.

(2) Woodgrain Graphics:

Are printed to match virtually any pattern or shade.  Carbon fiber and many other patterns can be duplicated on any of our dimensional products.

(3) Deadfront Graphics:

The ability to have copy such as warning lights and symbols appear when backlit but to disappear entirely when not lit.  Typically your car's signals are such an example.  Deadfront graphics always appear only black until lit ... but not anymore!  Deadfront graphics - when not backlit - can now be almost any pattern or color.  It doesn't have to be just black.  Illustrated are warning symbols showing - in various colors - right through the woodgrain.

(4) Backlit Gold and Chrome:

Incorporate backlit symbology right through gold or chromes.  And when backlit, the copy can then be virtually any color.  In this example, the daytime gold "bezels" actually glow at night.

(5) Instrumentation:

In these examples, the symbols appear chrome until backlit and then the color varies.  Connected to the appropriate electronics, instrumentation can now indicate speeds or temperatures, etc. as well as the standard telltale lights.

(6) Day/Night Colors:

Copy or instrumentation can appear one color during the day and a different color when backlit.  For example, your car's gauges may be daytime white but turn orange or blue when lit.  Here the "LensLite" logo is embossed chrome.  When backlit it becomes blue.

(7) Embossing:

Backlit chromes or gold embossing offers highly effective gauges and decorative effects, such as the LensLite symbol on this sample.

(8) Cut-Outs:

Void areas are easy and inexpensive.

(9) Shape:

Shape has little limitation and tooling is inexpensive.
